AJC New York connects our community with American Jewish Committee’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader global priorities: combating antisemitism and all forms of hate, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and defending human rights and democratic values.
Our impact extends well beyond the New York community, helping AJC achieve tangible results in the form of government policies, formidable alliances, and hard-hitting legislation that make our world safer and more secure. Members of New York’s diplomatic community, elected officials, and prominent clergy and intergroup leaders consider AJC a trusted and respected advocate not only for the Jewish people, but for all people. At meetings, programs, and events, we speak out strategically and effectively to promote AJC’s agenda.
AJC New York translates the global mission of AJC to the local level by organizing intimate briefings and educational and advocacy programs. We host a range of larger-scale events to engage the local diplomatic community, such as a Diplomatic Seder and a Diplomatic Tour of Jewish New York. Our Dialogues with Diplomats series brings together diplomats to discuss timely foreign policy issues, and our State to State series explores and celebrates the transformative relationship between New York and Israel. Through our interfaith and intergroup coalitions, we build bridges of friendship and dialogue and convene diverse groups of leaders to advocate on issues of mutual concern.
In addition, our ACCESS NY division empowers young Jewish leaders throughout New York aged 22-39. Learn more about ACCESS NY here.
